Freshest most authentic. Excellently priced, excellent service, very nice friendly atmosphere, very authentic and most of all that is paramount for any sushi resteraunt - extreemly fresh.

Of all the sushi places I've been too, all taken into account, this place is by far the best. I'm astonished that one could find such a place in KC so far away from any fresh ocean source but Kokoro Maki doesn't disappoint.

If you go at lunch order a lunch special, for dinner I recommend the tofu stew or soondubu and the SPICY tuna will take you away to a far away land wanting more.

There simply isn't a better resteraunt for sushi or korean food anywhere in KC, it's almost like flying over to Japan for sushi and stopping by Seoul for a quick bite of Korean food.

Everything is freshly prepared then and there nothing pre-mixed or pre-cooked.

Business is good for them now so they are slightly understaffed hence slower service during the busy rush hours - so go before or after noontime for lunch.

Spiciest Sushi I've ever had. If you love spicy and you love sushi I highly recommend this place. It's a great place to go if you don't feel like getting dressed up and just want some quick sushi. I have never had sushi that is actually spicy when it claims to be. Well, Kokoro Maki stays true to it's word. The Yum Yum roll is great, the spicy tuna is actually spicy and another roll I can't recall the name are my favorites. Get ready to clear your sinuses!!!
