Tasty.... Beware of other crappy reviews. Obviously that woman just got broke up with. He/she probably was one of the SPEEDY servers. They ALWAYS are pleasant, happy and fast. The food is TASTY, and borderline authentic. The price is right and Margarita Tues and Thurs can't be beat!!! When in doubt, don't utilize the reviews, just try it yourself!!! :)

Best Service Ever. Shame on that last comment! El Maguey is a wonderful place to eat. It's just like any other restaurant, you just may have to be selective with what you order. I have ordered many different items and have been happy with every choice so far. thier service and atmosphere are bar none.The salsa is always fresh. I don't know what kind of guacamole they had but everytime I have been there it has been fresh and not made with sour cream, but with onions and peppers. Funny how that place is always packed if they have such horrible food!

Flavorless Mexican food.. I've never had Mexican food so lifeless, so without spice or flavor until now. It was like eating at a really bad cafeteria on "Mexican Fiesta night". We started with the guacamole and chips. How could anyone screw up avaocados you ask? Simple: puree them with enough sour cream to make a smooth whipped baby food puree and serve with stale chips. Next on the evening's menu were beef enchiladas. That's all they were... ground beef inside a soggy corn tortilla with enough mystery cheese to cover up the sad little specimens. The filling was like babyfood once again and without any spice... no chilis, cumin, onion, tomato, nothing! While the food is cheap, it is not of any value when it tastes this bad.

Fast service. I like most of their food. Their pork is awesome. Burittos and tacos with pork are great.

Fast service and not expensive.
