Never again!. My husband and I were in the mood for Mexican food. We debated which restaurant to visit in Lee's Summit. We settled on La Fuente because we had clipped a coupon for a "free cheese, bean, or guacamole dip with a $20 minimum purchase." The qualifer on the bottom of the coupon stated, "Dine-in only * Not valid with any other coupon * One coupon per table * Expires 5/31/10"

We ordered the guacamole dip and two combo meals. I had one drink, and my husband had two drinks. The service at the table was adequate and the food was good. Our meal ticket came to about $25.

When we went up front to pay, we presented the cashier with the coupon and cash. We were told we could not use the coupon because the drinks we purchased were at Happy Hour prices. I pointed to the coupon and showed the cashier . . . and then the manager . . . the coupon didn't include that exclusion. I was told we could have the guacamole dip for free IF we wanted to pay full price for our beers. Seriously?

In today's economic times AND with numerous Mexican restaurants to choose from in Lee's Summit, why wouldn't you take care of your customers?

Well, we paid our full ticket, weren't allowed to use our coupon, AND will never go back!
