A nice experience, but not up to the hype.
I brought my girlfriend to stay at Chateau Avalon a couple years ago, and while the atmosphere was nice and romantic, I found that the rooms themselves were a bit cramped and a little tacky. Also, the food we ordered for breakfast was hardly luke warm and tasted like something you'd find in a Holiday Inn buffet. The one huge upsell on staying there, though, is the hottubs and sound systems in the rooms. Very nice to relax in the tub while listing to your favorite music.
