ribs and beef on a bun. the best price in Kansas city or any where I have been in the country.. I have been there many times and never had a bad experience, beef on a bun and the ribs is over the top. never see size/amount any where. and is the best BBQ sauce.

Mouth-Watering BBQ. The building itself isn't much of a looker, but when you drive by and Terry (the owner) has the smoker going out front, you can't help but get those hunger pains in your mouth.

The owner is wonderful to have small chat with and he's very passionate about what he does. If you show loyalty to him, he'll give you his best price on his BBQ anyday of the week.

My husband and I are on a fairly strict budget, but when him and I can go in there and get enough food to last us 2+ meals off of 10-14$, who can beat that?

My favorite meal off his menu so far is his Beef on Bun with hot sauce, fries and extra pickles. 5.95 for the full basket.

I would have to admit the only con to Epps is that he sells out of his BBQ very fast, so even though his hours of business say one thing, if he sells out you may not get the service that you might get at other BBQ branches -- where they have mass stocks of BBQ waiting to be sold.

At the same time, that's almost a guarentee that his BBQ freshly smoked, not meat that's been sitting around a week+. I would advise calling Epps before you visit, just to make sure he will have his BBQ ready by the time you arrive.

If you want to buy atmosphere instead of BBQ, I wouldn't suggest Epps. But if you want BBQ that you will crave for years to come, don't waste time.

Awesome. Not sure why anyone would give a negative review for this place. There is little to be said of this bbq besides it was awesome. Very highly recommended. It is tied with "The Shed" of Southern Mississippi as my favorite bbq.

Ok food? And the amount very on who makes it? Very very poor service! Not very clean place!. I will have to say 5 out 9 times I have been to Mr. Epps BBQ something always different? One day the price is this? the next day it higher? whether its fresh or not? and the fries are good, when you get them fresh? 50 / 50 on getting fresh fries depending on who's fixing you order.

And depending on who make you order, whether you get the same amount? the lady that make the sandwich asked me something, I and could not hear, and i stepped around the counter to hear her, And notice that the keep beef , chicken, pork all the meat in 1 drawer

The place is hardly ever open @ set hours? you have to take a chance. You might have a better chance at Russian Roulette?

people that come in and out from the back are filthy. From the front door to the back door is filthy very much a dive.

Best BBQ in KC?. Mr Epps BBQ is a little out of the way but worth the trip. Excellent burnt ends and the fries are fantastic.
