Bland mushy Garlicless pasta. Gross!. Terrible food. Very bland. I don't even think there was garlic in anything. The only seasoning they used in the sauce was sugar. Bread tasted like Wonderbread. Sauce was so greasy that my stomach hurt all day. Pasta was mushy. Worst food I've ever paid for. I think this place could get on to chef Gordons "Kitchen Nightmares" show.…
Best authentic Italian eating in Kansas City. On a recent trip to Kansas City, my fiance and I dined at Johnny Cascone's with my sister and her boyfriend. We tried the Johnny's Combo of lasagna and spaghetti w/ meatballs. Best lasagna I've ever had! It was extremely busy (lending to the belief that this was a popular restaurant), and even with a 6:00 reservation we had to wait almost 30 minutes before we were seated. Other than the additional wait our experience was very enjoyable, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Kansas City.…
Love it. Been going to Cascones for about 10 years now, it's always the place we pick for birthdays and anniversary's, it's very romantic, the food is wonderful, I recommend the Chicken spedini or lemonada, very authentic Italian food.…
Genuine Italian food with exceptional service.. Take it from an Italian, the food is among the most authentic Italian you will find in town. A bit pricey, but worth it because of the exceptional food, friendly service and charming atmosphere. Large groups are welcome, including a separate banquet room for really large parties. Perfect for anything ranging from romantic evenings to family gatherings.…
Terrible food, good service, bad value.. I expect a little more than processed cheese food for $15 a plate. I could have whipped up a batch of Kraft cheese and shells and had a comparable dining experience. Food was just this side of high school cafeteria. The soup of the day tasted like cambells, the bread was like something off the shelf at Wal-mart. The Pasta Con Broccoli was simply processed cheese food over pasta shells with some broccoli on it. To ask $15 for this stuff is a crime. The best thing we had was the generic chicken fingers and fries we ordered for the kids. What does that tell you. You could do a lot better at hospital cafeteria. The wait staff was good though, which was the only thing positive I have to say about this place. Never again.…
