The place for unusual and unique plants.
I cannot visit Family Tree nursery without spending more than I should. A walk through the nursery always leaves me with a 'wish list' of unique, outstanding trees and shrubs for my garden. They always have specimen you won't find at other local nurseries and high-quality, mature examples that are perfect for 'instant gratification'. I'm too old to plant small trees, so I go to Family Tree when I want something special.

Used to be great....What the heck happened?.
This used to be my favorite place to shop. I went there for all my annuals and perennials. The last year or so they have gone down hill. The last couple of times I have been in everyone kind of walks around like they have no idea what to do. Everytime I try to catch someone in the greenhouses eye, they turn and start walking the other way. I used to get a newsletter every couple of months and my grandson got one monthly. I am now lucky to get 1 or 2 a year and all it is is a cheap piece of paper with no information. You were doing so much right before....what the heck happened? Everything that set you apart from the competition seems to be gone. I drove miles to come see you. You don't offer me anything that would make me want to pay gas prices to get to you. I won't waste my money for the drive.

A full-service, family-owned garden center serving the community for over 35 years..
The Scene
The warehouse-style building occupies an entire corner lot. A fenced yard surrounds it, and greenhouses stretch the entire length of the block. A free weekly newsletter offers gardening advice, as well as advertised specials.
The Goods
A huge selection of everything sums up the merchandise. A wide assortment of rose bushes greets shoppers in the entryway, along with college-themed lawn ornaments from area universities. The main room is filled with nearly every gardening supply imaginable, metal and wooden wind chimes, and birdbaths and feeders. Palettes of brightly colored annuals stretch across the warehouse, with signs listing detailed instructions on planting and care. Stock your own gardening library with one of their many books.
