Wonderful evening. My wife and I went to J Gilbert's to celebrate. We both had an incredible 6 oz filet. The crab bisque is out of this world. We had an average dessert...but were so floored by how great everything else was that we didn't care.

Anniversary Dinner. J Gilbert's was our choice for our 21st Wedding Anniversary. The experience was wonderful! We recommend sitting near the fireplace, picking one of the appetizers, the shrimp are excellent here. Steak is the house specialty and it doesn't dissappoint, the 6oz steaks are so tender you can cut them with your fork. The wine list is excellent and if you like martini's and cigars, they have em on the menu.

If you go ask specifically for one of the wait staff. Ask for ERIC! No waiting for refills, no waiting for a course, no problems......

Exceptional steaks. J. Gilbert's is definitely worth the trip to Overland Park. In my view, some of the greatest steaks in the Metro area can be had here. Though a bit pricey, the food is excellent and the hushed lighting provides an ambiance that can quite romantic.

Will return and return.

No. 1. This is where my husband and I always entertain family, friends and business acquaintances. We can always be confident of impeccable service and wonderful food. We would recommend it to anyone!

a favorite. love this place. great ambience in the bar as long as the one man band is not there, but regardless, food is excellent, great bartenders, very attentive.

3 Strikes You're Out. I went to J Gilbert's once and that was enough. After the third attempt to get what amounted to be a paper thin KC strip cooked pink on the inside I gave up. To their credit they did comp my meal, but then I never got to eat it. There are too many quality steak joints in the KC area to waste your time on this chain.

The VERY BEST!!!. Forget the big well known names in Steak Houses. J. Gilberts is simply the BEST!! In their Washington, D.C. location (where I live) they blow the Sam & Harry's and Capital Grill's out of the water. Truly!!! It's not even close!! The steaks are beyond yummy as is everything on the menu.

BEST OF THE BEST. AFTER SPENDING SEVERAL NIGHTS ENTERTAINING FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO THE SPLENDER OF BEEF IN KC., THE TITLE OF THE BEST HAS TO BE J. GILBERTS BECAUSE THE TASTE AND TEXTURE OF THEIR STEAKS IS ABSOLUTLEY IMPECABLE.
