Almost Perfect

I went to Xiphium for a while, and unfortunately am no longer able to patronize the establishment due to economic concerns.

Rachel's haircuts are top-notch, Jaime's facials are very relaxing, and though she does not work there anymore, Carly's manicures were great.

The only criticism is that sometimes the service was a bit inconsistent, but that is a minor issue. Maybe someday I'll be able to afford to go back after I've made my millions.

Nice place but has drawbacks

I do like Christina and the receptionists have always been good but it is expensive and you are way too close to the person next to you getting their hair done. You can hear their conversations and see everyone way too close. If there were dividers between the stylists stations it would be good. I am going to stop going there when I can get a recommendation from someone that I like. For the prices they charge - the lack of privacy and the overall feeling that you are looking at/sitting too close to others is just wrong.

• Pros: Christina gives me a great cut
• Cons: No privacy - you are VERY close to the next person

Best experience, ever!

From the minute you enter Xiphium, the salon is unique. The receptionist is friendly, courteous & helpful. I enjoyed the whole experience! Phil was experienced and knew just how to handle a poor previous cut. The scalp massage, shampoo and hand massage were so relaxing.

I'm sorry to see other reviews that were not positive. I plan to return again and again. This is a quality salon with a staff that is highly competent and supportive. I feel the pricing reasonable for the service rendered.

WHAT A GREAT PLACE

I moved here a little over a year ago and a neighbor recommended Michael for hair coloring. He is fabulous, really knows his stuff and is a very nice guy. I did need to have a consultation first but he fit me in the day I called for this and the cost was very low and applied toward my first hair color - no big deal. I also get my hair cut here, and love it. I have thick course difficult hair. I was so sad to read the negative reviews of Vilma, my experience is that she is a highly trained artist and a very nice person. She not only gives a great cut but I have never had someone take so much time and care to teach me how to style my own hair. As a side note she does a lot for the community ie. a dog wash to help a no kill shelter, discounts on products for bringing in cans for a food drive. I also have had my brows waxed by Jamie several times and highly recommend her. From what I've seen the staff seems to have a very good rapport with each other. If you are comparing prices it should be noted that their is no tipping allowed here. I have been in numerous times and highly recommend Xiphium.

• Cons: NEED TO BOOK AHEAD....TAKES A WHILE TO GET IN

ridiculous hair color policy

First timers...Process of Making a hair color appointment -

First schedule a Hair Consultation

Then schedule a separate appointment including a 3 week wait until you can actually have anything done.

At least they let you know it before trying to schedule any of the appointments.
