This upscale yet casual Johnson County eatery appeals to the hearty eater with refined tastes.. The Scene


The casual decor includes exposed wooden beams and ambient lighting, provided by modern chandeliers. Bolo-tied servers provide excellent yet unobtrusive service at spacious, white tableclothed booths.



The Food


The spit-roasted rack of pork lies on a bed of scalloped potatoes ringed with red-eye gravy and crowned with fried onion shavings. The KC strip is drizzled with a bacon shallot ragout and served with campfire potatoes and a braised, spring onion. The hickory-smoked beef tenderloin in burgundy basil sauce is available in three sizes. Fresh sea bass (flown in every day), along with a spit-roasted chicken, is also available. Fresh-made cornbread, honey butter, and soup or salad accompany entrees. The crepe-wrapped duck appetizer is drizzled with barbecue sauce and cr?me fraiche and garnished with avocado slices. The tiered appetizer tower features any three appetizers off the menu--a meal in itself or great to share.

Hope you aren't that hungry. Waited forever for a small plate and big bill. This place is not worth your time when Hereford House is next door.

Melt in your mouth steaks and seafood. We love eating at Yahooz. The service is wonderful, they cater to your every need. Everything we've ever had there has been delicious. My husband is a conoisseur of steaks. We've tried just about every restaurant in town that is famous for steak sand he rates this as the best.

Best Filet in KC!. Yahooz is one of the best steakhouses in Kansas City - bar none! While it's considered a steakhouse, he also has offerings for other tastes such as excellent, fresh seafood dishes and chicken. The filets are fresh, and are cooked so succulently, that you - literally - do not need a steak knife to cut them. Whenever I have out of town guests and want to impress them, I only go to Yahooz - which seriously, has the best filet in KC!

10. i have eaten a yahooz many times and never been a bad thing the servers are great and so friendly thw wine list is great the selction perfert for those who love fine to those who are just starting the learn the joys a great glass wine it is a must go see
