Overpriced and not very good food. We never really liked HH but we were given a $100 gift certificate there so we thought we could give it another try. My husband got a big steak, said it was very average. I got a little steak and we got a dessert. They were OK but for that money we felt it was so not worth it. We just gave our server the entire $100 gift certificate for the rest to have for a tip because we said we would never go back there.

Looks western, but fancy western.

Close to hotels, shopping...

Tons of food - the twiced bake potato is amazing. Blackened Prime Rib...yummmm

Good Dinner. We had a great dinner! The service was prompt and the food was great! We will return to this steakhouse.

disappointing and over priced tough steaks. We were very disappointed in this place and I was very glad I was not paying the bill.

The service is strange and our server was nearly rude at times with the over selling of items.

Perhaps we did not order enough or were not hungry enough. The carpaccio was tough and the

wine was awful that the server recommended. The steaks were of the same quality as Walmart's.

This place is amazing in that it is still in business.

Surely there is a better place in Kansas City. We expected alot though being from Texas. We have good steak there. Perhaps if someone was from the South or the east coast, the steaks would have been better.

Lousy Steak House. Getting worse with each visit. So, no more visits. Quality not there anymore. Steak is never done to requested temperature. Servers are hurried and not knowlegeable about selections. Too many other steakhouse that are much better. This is 'cow town' . Avoid Hereford House...

Kansas City Institution. This is Kansas City steak! The Hereford House serves up great steaks for a comparably good price. They make no attempt to hide or alter the flavor of their streaks, this is both their greatest strength, and biggest weakness. If you eat steak because you like beef, you'll love it. If your accustom to smothering your steak in rich sauce and spice, you may want to keep looking. Their lunch menu is fantastic if you like comfort food. The meatloaf is delicious, and the tuesday special potroast is to die for. On sunday nights their excellent prime rib is served at a reduced price and they sell select bottles of wine at half price. Stick to cow while your there and you'll leave with a satisfied smile!

Best steak. Best steak in K.C., You cna't find a better prime rib in this town. Get both house dressings (the pink and the white, they will know what you mean), and mix them on your salad for a taste you won't believe.

Skip it!. I gave them 2 shots for dinner and it was still the worst dining experience I have had in town. Both of our steaks both times were very over-cooked and our service was non-existent. There are tons of better choices around town for steak.

Average at best. My wife and I received a gift certificate to dine at the Hereford House in Leawood. The steak was average at best, tasted as though it had tenderizer added and too long prior to cooking. Meat was very grainy. Had we paid full price for the meal I would have complained.

BAD Steak House!. I was in KC a month ago on business. After reading how good this place was in a magazine I decided to make a special trip to try their steak. WOW, what a mistake, the steak was terrible, the baked potato was cold, the salad did not taste fresh, even the rolls were bad! I am from LA, so I am not familiar with the local restaurant scene. If this restaurant is truly one of the best steakhouses in KC, I feel sorry for the locals. What a shame.
