Awsome Food and Great Price and Atmosphere

We had a great meal and a great time at the Bulldog during the Big 12 Tournement. This is a little ways down the street from the Sprint Center, about 3 blocks, but it wasn't completely crowded and the people were mostly locals and it was a very friendly place with a good vibe. The service was great and the prices were too. I had the chicken madiera, which was awsome, and my wife had some kind of ciabbatta sandwich which she loved. We recommend this place highly.
- Pros: Great Little Place with good food.
Good food and service

Was there on a Wednesday night, the restaurant side was pretty slow. Several people in the bar area. Service was prompt throughout the meal. Only knock I had was the waiter really had no suggestions for a good martini, after telling us it was $4 martini night. After we picked one the service was prompt, water glasses were full throughout the meal, each course was delivered very well timed.
We had the hummus appetizer and it was great, very good flavor and a large portion size. Would have easily worked for 4 people. Our en trees included salads and while simple salads, they were very good, lettuce was extremely crisp and fresh. Meal itself was very good, my girlfriend had the trout and I had the chicken maderia. Both were very good. Overall I was very happy, for a wednesday I really should probably give it five stars. Only thing lacking at all was ambience. It just throws things off when a place feels empty. I have been there on busier weekend nights when it felt much better.
- Pros: Foods great any night
- Cons: not much happening on a wednesday night
Worst Place I've been in years!!

Took a group of 11 to the Bulldog on a Sunday evening. The place was relatively empty so we were expecting at least decent service. We arrived and had a couple of drinks at the bar then proceeded to be seated. We ordered another round of drinks, waited 15 minutes and they arrived. Once ready to order we learned a couple of things.....First, they only had two Ribeyes left in the cooler, second the waitress didn't know the menu. We ordered a variety of items, inlcuding salads and appetizers. Once the appetizers arrived we asked for another round of drinks, they showed up and the appetziers were as ordered. I will say the fried brie was very good.
Once the salads arrived we learned that our waitress stopped listening about the time we finished ordering appetizers. They had 2 of the 11 salads correct and didn't bother to apologize. We ordered another round of drinks - thinking we were going to need them at this point.
Once we got the salads figured out, we ate and waited another 45 minutes for the food to arrive. Remember we ordered drinks about 45 minutes ago. Most of the table just decided to do without. Those drinking sodas had made their way to the bar for refills and told the bar we weren't getting drink service but nothing changed.
The food finally arrived, we reminded the server of our drink request and she nodded but never delivered. Our meals came out over the course of 15 minutes. All of the steaks that were ordered were over cooked. Sides and sauces were inaccurate. And, we still never received that last drink.
Fortunately the waitress did not ask for a dessert order. Imagine my surprise when the checks showed up and they had added 20% tip charge to each of our orders. Someone needs to remind this place that TIPS stands for "to insure prompt service". I took my credit card statement, subtracted 15% from the amount, totalled and signed the bill.
I won't return.
- Pros: Not crowded
- Cons: I think I know why it's not crowded - bad food, bad service
