Puffy Taco Overrated. The Puffy Taco, while having decent food, is definately overrated. The tiny puffy tacos are tasty, but cost $3 a piece, which can be expensive if you are hungry. The meat and beans taste like cheap grocery store brand canned food, and the sauce has no kick. Neither the drinks nor the chips nor the salsa come with free refills. I recommend trying one of Kansas city's other good mexian restaurants rather than bothering with the Puffy Taco.

Fantastic, unique food. This is authentic Mexican at its best. Owner used to work at Manny's. The Puffy Taco is cheap, filling and unique. It is like a tortilla that is fried until crispy, yet a little chewy, filled with typical taco fillings. The Beef Chile Rellanos are also excellent. The staff is always so friendly and nice. When it first opened, it was standing room only at lunch.
