They had some really good food and TV's everywhere you look at this bar. Real nice atmosphere for DTKC.

Great service - love the bartenders! Would go here every day. Drink specials are wonderful, and the drinks are even better! Ladies: the margaritas are great and only $3.00. If tequila isn't your thing then ask one of the bartenders to make you something special, like the peach tea or strawberry shortcake drinks. They will change your life!

I have never failed to have a good time at this place, and the waitstaff is always friendly and chatty. If you're the type that avoids P&L because of the ridiculous prices and the more-ridiculous attitudes, give The Quaff a shot. Come by on a Monday and say hi to me, I'll be sittin on the sidewalk with a margarita and a pile of tacos!

I love the Quaff!! it's the apitomy of what is good in this country today! I used to live in downtown KC within walking distance of The Quaff...its a family owned business that treats you like family....I have not lived in Kansas City for 10 years now but whenever I do go there I always make it a point to stop by The Quaff...and they STILL remember my name and treat me well....it's awesome! love the environment and will be there next time I am in KC!

Ask for your receipt. This place is notorious for ripping you off when you pay your tab. If you run a tab then when you pay it they'll just give you a receipt with the total but NOT a breakdown showing what you ordered.

Old rip off trick. Make sure they give you a breakdown of all ITEMS ordered.

They ripped me off several times before I caught on to their scam.

Great steak...mmmm. Well things have changed since Jan of 2008. There is no longer smoking allowed in KCMO so we dont have to worry about that. And obviously some of us have not been there on a Wed night for the steak special. 16oz KC strip, baked potato and salad for $10. Excellent steak I might add..... Who ever visits and doesn't enjoy, probably would complain about getting free money also.
