I had almost stayed at this hotel about 3 years ago, and I can't believe how much it has changed since then!! The lobby was beautiful and decorated for the holidays, the rooms were spotless and newly remodeled with the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in at a hotel, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and it was the best continental breakfast I'd ever had! It has the cheapest price out of all of the hotels in downtown Kansas City, unless you'd want to stay at a mom and pop dump for $30! They were easy to find and when we got lost in the downtown area we called and talked to a front desk agent named Abigail and she stayed on the phone with us until we found the restaurant we'd been looking for and lead us there perfectly! She actually worked the entire stay we were there and was great with recommendations for things to do and see during our stay and was professional and easy to talk to, all the staff was! The manager Anand had the best restaurant recommendations and sent us to the best BBQ we'd ever had!
It was a bit further away from the bar district power and light than we had expected but the cab was only $6 and the hotel got us a cab within 2 minutes! Since it was 4 girls I wouldn't recommend walking around after dark just because it is a city and has practically no traffic at night in the area the hotel was in, but overall our stay was incredile! I have stayed at the Marriott and President downtown and while their location was on top of everything the Comfort Inn and Suites was just as nice and included breakfast, had an indoor pool and free wi-fi for half the price! If you're looking for a hotel that doesn't break the bank but still gives you 5-star service in the downtown area, you will love the Confort Inn and Suites!
Stayed two nights and was pleasantly surprised. Everything was clean and the location was handy to the downtown area. Close to Interstates..but quiet! Plan to stay here again next year.
I stayed at this hotel during my recent visit to the city. I was traveling with my instrument which included a oversized flight case that couldn't fit into a normal sized sedan. When asking the front desk manager about how to get it it back to the airport, he offered to personally give me a ride and save me some money. This alone deserves the highest rating.
We checked in around midnight, we had the drive from hell, we were all tired, it was quiet, the front desk lady greeted us with the most beautiful smile, I completely forgot about how tired and frustrated I was. She was very polite, had a great attitude, which actually helped my attitude be better. The next morning, she was gone and a gentleman was at the desk, he was also polite and very helpful. This place has the friendliest staff I've ever come across at a hotel. The rooms were nice, the bed and pillows were comfortable, the breakfast was good. Overall, this was the best stay I had ever had. Thank you guys and gal, you made our stay at the Comfort Inn great.
This was our second stay at Comfort Inn and Suites KC. The Inn is very convenient to our children's home and a natural choice due to location. It has also become a natural choice for a comfortable room and friendly staff. When we checked in, after a long day on the road, we were greeted warmly and check in was quick. Our assigned room turned out to be one of the rooms under renovation. When we let the desk person know he apologized and immediately gave us an alternative room. This room had a fan noise that continued even while the fan was off. We asked for a third room and were immediately upgraded to a suite with sincere apologies. The suite was large with a wall room divider between the sleeping and sitting areas. The room smelled fresh without a strong cleaning product smell. The king bed was comfortable with soft sheets and nice pillows. Two large flat screen televisions, a microwave and apartment sized refrigerator furnished the room. There was a desk and chair in the sleeping area that did not crowd the bed. The pull out sofa in the sitting area was nice. Breakfast was delicious with hot and cold options and the ever popular waffle maker. The lady who serviced the breakfast area was so friendly and kept the area spotless. There was no additional charge for parking which was nice for a downtown hotel. We stayed for six nights, appreciated the guest laundry, nice people and convenience to our family. This is our home away from home while in KC!!
My wife and I stayed here the day before and the day after returning from vacation. The staff was nice and let me park my car in the hotel parking lot while we were away. The building is in very nice shape and both rooms we stayed in were very clean. The rooms have LCD televisions, a microwave, and a mini-fridge all standard.
The price was very reasonable considering you are less then a mile from the Amtrack station. It was about an $8 cab ride for the two of us. The free breakfast includes waffles, eggs, and biscuits and gravy. The breakfast was actually better then the $165 a night hotel's breakfast we stayed at in Chicago!
This will now be my default hotel of choice when traveling by train out of KC.
My stay was almost a week long and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was great, (close to the Power & Light District) and for the location, the price was very reasonable. The room was clean and comfortable.
This Comfort Inn is comfortable, clean and welcoming every time we visit Kansas City. Very convenient to downtown and close to the highway back to the airport it seems to be in just the right place. The beds are comfortable, the rooms clean and the staff is outstanding.
Great Hotel BUT... – It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!
Best Kept Secret in Kansas City..... – Best kept secret in downtown, Kansas City, Missouri. My family stayed here last week and we were pleasantly surprised! The hotel was extremely clean, the staff went above and beyond and were very professional. Everything in our room was in working order and the hotel is close to the Power & Light Center and the Sprint Center. This hotel made us feel like family and we will definitely recommend to our family and friends.
