Nothing disgusts me more than
businesses trying to take advantage of consumers and having no integrity whatsoever. Just a word of caution; if you cancel your membership with this company, make sure you get a copy and monitor your account the following month for unauthorized charges.
I canceled my membership in Nov and my credit card account was charged Dec, Jan, and Feb. Sherry, the mgr only wanted to refund Feb until I threatened legal action. She changed her attitude then and got it done. Luckily I had documentation proving when I canceled my membership. She didn't though. Not a good way to do business in my opinion.
The Review Below.........
Well i would have to agree...i dont think you should get a free week of tanning if you have a "family emergency" and have to leave town...not saything you did not experience a family emergency, but unfortunetly there are people in this world who would lie about that to get a free month. I have been going here for years and have never experienced bad customer service. I think its just another story of someone trying to get something for free, and getting rejected and upset!
awful customer service.
This was my first experience using a tanning salon in Kansas City. When I went there I felt rushed to pick a package. I wasn't offered a tour or a trial visit which I have found out is customary most places. I went ahead and picked a minutes package and used my first session. While I was in there I thought a month package might be my better choice to start. They would not let me transfer to the monthly a few minutes after I signed up. They told me I could keep my minutes and just buy a monthly package. I went ahead and did that. Coming up to the start of my third week of my four week package I had a family emergency (my mother ended up in the hospital) and I had to go out of state for a week. I came back in a week and then went out of town for business thinking I would talk to Coconut Beach when I got back about making up the week I lost taking care of my mother. I was shocked when I was refused the opportunity to make up a week I lost from attending to a family emergency. I was given some story about their computer not being set up to make up a week etc. I was offered a discount if I gave them more money and bought another month long package. I pretty well consider this an insult and poor customer service. For one, I was not even given a copy of their policy after I shelled out $74 to them. I spoke to Sherri on the phone and she told me I received a good enough deal for the times I used it during those 3 weeks (which should not be the point). But the final insult was when she told me that "everyone thinks that a family emergency is when their dog dies". In the middle of me saying that I could not believe she was comparing my mother to a pet she hung up on me. I would not recommend this place unless you would like to be responded to abusively when you have a complaint. What ever happened to customer service. I guess they have enough business although they have never been busy when I have been there. (the only benefit of going there)
