The Truth. If your a person who thinks, because this place is cool, well Im cool, well you do need to go to Tanners. Bad food, slow bartenders, but a crowd that thinks they are cool well here you go.....

Too many applebees knockoffs. Don't get me wrong, this is a fun bar to get your drink on... but you can only stare at the glare of neon and the kitch items on the wall for so long. Eventually, you find yourself drunk or looking to go elsewhere. Sometimes, both.

Warm beer, plastic cups. Tanner's, at least the Waldo version, features a cloistered layout, terrible food and warm beer served in plastic cups. Service is below par to boot. If you are looking for a place to enjoy your big game, this ain't it.

GREAT place to catch the game!. Tanner's has everything you look for in a great sport's bar...Lots of screens, Great food and drink, and it's reasonable prices. Now if they would only open some east coast locations!!

Bad Burger. The last time I was at Tanners I received a burger that was more like shoe leather. When I ask for a burger cooked madium I expect it to be pink in the middle, this one was extra well done. I havn't been back since.

Downtown location not very good.. The downtown Tanner's location offers the worst atmosphere. You're also less likely to find any help if you want to watch a specific game. The TV's aren't located in convenient locations.

Choke on the Smoke. This place is great.. if you wear an oxegyn mask! If you're a non-smoker, not to sound harsh, but you'd be better off at McDonalds. The food is excellent and the service is very friendly, but I've never been there once without almost being knocked out of my bar stool, or smashed into a booth by people walking by. Smoking availability is great, but there's so many people, you may as well light up yourself. For such a great place, they ought to invest in a little more space!

Corporate burgers. All the Tanner's are the same: mediocre food, slow service, high prices for what you're getting. If you find yourself at the Tanner's in Waldo (74th and Broadway) go next door to Waldo Pizza and have some good food and beer or better yet, walk across the street to the 75th St. Brewery (just wet of Wornall on 75th) and have some fantastic microbrews while you watch the game. If you're at Tanner's downtown, walk next door to the Quaff. It's locally owned and a real downtown bar and grill. The staff is friendly and fantastic and the food's a much better bargain.

Tanner's. Great food and atmosphere unique to Kansas City. Not a chain. The salads are huge! Love those Tanner's cups that you get to take home!
