Mc Miss.
WIth the best seafood in KC, at least in variety, this could be better with a better staff.
Service is always uneven in here even when it is slow.
Forget being a regular, they never seem to know your name or care.

Seafood. The restaurant has an excellent variety of seafood from world-wide originations. The seafood always tastes fresh and is expertly prepared. Occasionally the service lacks at tmes depending on the busyness of the server.

A Fresh Dining Experience. Excellent food (especially the black grouper)!! Service was great as well. Very knowledgeable regarding menu. Overall experience was great. Would highly recommend.

fresh for the midwest, but....
McCormick & Schmick's brings seafood that is fresh for midwestern standards, which is welcome. But not to be confused with what they serve in Portland or Seattle. What could otherwise be a positive experience in the Plaza is marred by service that at best is indifferent, and more often just plain careless.
Ambience is quite good, but could be a little more relaxed.

Fantastic. I have gone several times to McCormick Schmidt and the service and food has been very good. The service has been outstanding as well.

not fresh.
yet another chain restaurant on the plaza....
i don't know why i keep eating fish in the midwest when i promised myself i wouldn't. i used to live on the east coast (both in florida and in new england) and the fish would be hours-fresh.
in the midwest, fish is at least a day old (which is ok) or a couple days old (not okay). i wasn't impressed with M and S's...
the best thing on the menu is the seafood chowder.
the decor is beautiful and sitting outside is nice too. this is a good place to get drinks. they have a beautiful bar.

sizzling seafood. One of the best places to eat in KC. Always fresh food and always great service. Good size portions to leave room for scrumptious desserts!
