By far our WORST kansas city restaurant experience. ever.. By far our worst Kansas City restaurant experience. Period. I ordered the Tuna salad sandwich on "toasted wheat." Simply put, the sandwich was soggy when it arrived, and they just slapped on cold shredded cheese. I would have been fine to just say "I didn't care for their version of the tuna salad," until the waitress first took offense that I said I didn't care for it. Then she brought the check, and demanded that I still pay for the sandwich, which I did not eat. I was dumbfounded, as this was the first restaurant EVER that I've been too that was requiring me to pay for an item we neither enjoyed nor ate. I would have ordered something in place, but was not given a chance. Unfortunately, this was a terribly bad experience for my wife and I to have on her lunch break.

Best Wings I've EVER Eaten. The mediocre service was far outweighed by the amazing wings and BLT. I have tried alot of wings and these were on a completely diferent level than any others.

Waitress was slow; food was slower.. Went into the Peanut on a Saturday at 1:00 p.m. with about 6 other people. There was another table of 2 and another table of 2 and all of the other tables were empty. The waitress took forever to get us our drinks, our silverware, our napkins (each one asked for separately before she brought them). The food was even slower -- over 45 minutes from the time we ordered to the time it was ready. Tenderloins and wings are fabulous here though. If you've got time to spare (a LOT of time), might be worth going. Otherwise, skip it.

Irish Car Bombs. The downtown Peanut is simply the best. Cozy atmosphere and fun staff. Above all they have the best chicken wings in the world. After you've drowned yourself in multiple pitchers of beer and Peanut wing sauce, top it off with some of the best Irish Car Bombs in KC. While your at it your friendly waiter/bartender will gladly whip your fastest chugging time with their 2 second slam of the Irish Car Bomb. Have fun and remember to never drive drunk.
